Dear Andrew,
My wife and I cannot thank you enough for the pictures you took at our wedding. From the ballroom pictures where you used the chandelier to frame some shots to the outside pictures on the dock at dusk where your assistant expertly positioned the flash bulb, every shot captured a moment in time on our happy day.
When I think of weddings, I think of spending hours taking pictures. However, you captured important shots as they happened and set others up (like the rings sitting on top of one another) while we got ready allowing us more time to prepare for and enjoy our ceremony and reception.
You and your crew always remained unobtrusive and adaptable. A few minutes into the reception when I spilled a drink on my left pant leg while juggling hor d’ourves, you suggested we go out onto the deck and for my wife to stand in front of that leg for the next round of pictures. Her dress easily concealed the wet spot and those pictures of us on the deck with the Chesapeake in the background are some of our favorite shots.
Everything down to the smallest detail was captured for posterity. One of the biggest surprises of the day for me was my groom’s cake that my wife had designed in secret for me and was revealed at the reception. It had an elaborate design with many moving pieces. In the flurry of activity to remove all of our stuff from the hall at the end of the night, one of the pieces fell into the cake, deforming it. After realizing what had happened, I mentioned to my wife that I hoped that pictures had been taken of the cake. Within 48 hours, you had all the pictures posted and there were several pictures of the cake from multiple angles as well as many other things from that night that I had missed at the time.
